In the education of students of higher institutions of learning, a great diversity of print and non-print materials are required if individual interests, needs, and abilities are to be fulfilled to help students reach their optimal potential. The purpose of this thesis has been to provide necessary information required for setting up complex instructional media centers in Nigerian universities and colleges.
The emphasis is not on the structure, but rather on the philosophy, in consideration of such materials and techniques that will ensure the best use of the teacher and modern media technology in instruction to meet the individual student's way of learning and to improve the quality of education in the face of national developmental exigencies.
