Pamela Gearhart remarks on a program on music for the deaf that inspired her to pursue performing for the School for the Deaf in Buffalo. Wanting to do something similar in Ithaca, she contacted a man working in the Rome School for the Deaf who had been doing similar work there in Rome, New York. Together they collaborated on a Peter and the Wolf program performed at the school with a repeat performance at Ithaca College, a program that was featured on Good Morning America.
