#### Abstract

This article describes improved measurements by CLEO of the (Formula presented) and (Formula presented) branching fractions, and first evidence for the decay (Formula presented) where (Formula presented) represents the sum of the (Formula presented) (Formula presented) and (Formula presented) charm meson states. Also reported is the first measurement of the (Formula presented) polarization in the decay (Formula presented) A partial reconstruction technique, employing only the fully reconstructed (Formula presented) and slow pion (Formula presented) from the (Formula presented) decay, enhances sensitivity. The observed branching fractions are (Formula presented) (Formula presented), and (Formula presented) where the first error is statistical, the second systematic, and the third is the uncertainty in the (Formula presented) branching fraction. The measured (Formula presented) longitudinal polarization, (Formula presented) is consistent with the factorization prediction of 54%. © 2000 The American Physical Society.
