A mobile unit for identification audiometry
This report deals with a program of mobile audiological services in rural areas and the implications for adoption of this methodology in areas around the world where hearing services are very limited or non existant. The 3 yr data include procedures employed, audiological problems, age groups, and reported follow up information. Effectiveness is judged by total response to the clinic, the percentage of hearing problems and follow up procedures as a result of audiologist's recommendations, and the total counselling and educational program.
